- At Reality Labs Research (RL-R), our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences.
- As a Design Prototyper in Reality Labs Research, you will work closely with a team of Engineers, Designers, and Research Scientists to bring prototypes of emerging technologies to life. You will collaborate cross-functionally to design and build prototypes that help define the future of augmented & virtual reality. Your work will be used in user research studies, technology demos, and proof of concept prototypes. The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual who has expertise in 3D interactive experiences and proficiency in Unity.

- Develop experiential SW prototypes for Reality Labs Research projects
- Implement experience design specs
- Participate in the development of team toolsets and prototyping processes
- Clearly articulate prototyping decisions to a diverse set of internal stakeholders
- Support Design and User Researchers with creating user study experiences
- 4+ years Game Development experience with Unity (C#), Unreal Engine or other 3D engines
- Experience with AR/VR SDKs, e.g. developing for Quest or PCVR with Oculus SDK
- Experience with novel inputs (e.g., hand tracking, eye tracking, computer vision)
- Ability to solve ambiguous problems through rapid iteration
- Strong 3D Math skills
- Portfolio featuring examples of interactive prototyping with AR/VR/MR headsets
- Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments
- 2+ years experience with VR Rendering and VR-compatible HLSL shader programming
- Experience with hardware prototyping (e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
- Experience programming in Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with low-level coding of SW components to support experience prototyping
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
