Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and member of the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) network, has an opening for the role of Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology. Mount Auburn Hospital is a dynamic hospital dedicated to delivering healthcare services to our communities in a personable, convenient, and compassionate manner.
The hospital has a full range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency gastroenterology services. The Gastroenterology Division is currently comprised of 7 gastroenterologists with diverse areas of clinical expertise, and two advanced practice providers. The ideal candidate for the next Gastroenterology Division Chief is an outstanding clinical gastroenterologist and experienced clinical leader who is respected for his/her clinical, teaching and leadership skills. The Chief is accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction for the Division, including directing, organizing clinical operations, managing financial performance, recruitment, and mentorship. The Division, and the Division Chief, play a critical role in the education of medical students and residents in the ambulatory and inpatient settings, and education of peers in multidisciplinary meetings and hospital based or network CME events.
The candidate will be eligible for a Harvard Medical School faculty appointment at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
