    Description
    Behavioral Health Counselor Full Time Days Position Summary

    Acts as a group facilitator. Interacts therapeutically with patients, provides one-to-one interventions as needed.

    Provides other services as assigned by the program supervisor and as trained, which may include but is not limited to taking vital signs, monitoring blood glucose, and assisting with ADL's.

    Primarily responsible for monitoring services and providing community support services and therapeutic services.

    The BHC uses a basic knowledge of diagnostic characteristics, symptomology of primary mental illness and knowledge of medications, side effects and benefits to provide services in a person-centered, supportive, community-based environment.

    The LPC is monitored by periodic supervision.

    THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COUNSELOR FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.


    Minimum Education:
    Bachelors degree in counseling, related field or other with additional psychiatric experience.


    Minimum Experience:
    1 year of clinical experience preferred.


    Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
    BLS upon hire and CPI within 60 days of hire.
