Training will be given before opening.

Job Summary:

The Prep Cook at Mohican Lodge in Perrysville, Ohio is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in the lodge's restaurant.

This is a full-time, individual contributor position that offers a salary of $16 per hour, paid biweekly.

The Prep Cook will be an integral part of our hospitality team, ensuring that all guests are provided with high-quality meals and exceptional service.

Compensation & Benefits:
The salary for this position is $16 per hour, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and organize ingredients for the kitchen staff, ensuring that all items are fresh, properly stored, and ready for use
Assist in cooking and preparing various dishes, including cutting, portioning, and seasoning ingredients according to recipes
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, following all health and safety regulations
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service
Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality and appearance of food
Communicate effectively with servers and other team members to ensure a smooth and seamless dining experience for guests
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining inventory levels
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or executive chef

Requirements:

Prior experience as a prep cook or similar role in a hospitality or restaurant setting
Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent
