    OVERVIEW

    For more than 40 years, Consolidated Laundry Equipment has supplied high-quality commercial laundry equipment to laundries in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. As an industry leader in laundry equipment and services, we maintain a high level of success due to our skilled team of technicians, parts specialists, and expert sales representatives.     With locations in Raleigh and Charlotte, NC and the Chesapeake, VA area, Consolidated Laundry helps design and build coin-operated laundry businesses, commercial laundries or dry cleaning businesses from start to finish for customers.

    As part of a public company, we are a growing and evolving team, and we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to help us ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly analytics package (presented to management monthly).
    • Perform monthly accrual analysis.
    • Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures.
    • Prepare journal entries as necessary to properly account for monthly transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Assist with the annual financial statement audit with external and internal auditors and state sales tax audits.
    • Coordinate accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
    • Effectively work with other department leaders and managers to provide information as necessary.
    • Help design and maintain accounting policies and procedures, implement automation of accounting processes, and improve internal control design.
    • Complete special projects and other functions as required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

    • Minimum 5+ years of related accounting and financial processes (financial close, reporting, and internal controls)
    • Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting required.
    • Distribution/Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
    • Advanced Excel skills required.
    • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Willingness to take on challenges and think constructively to solve problems.
    • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GAAP, SOX) is desirable.
