    This position will be an integral part of a team of finance professionals whose purpose is to ensure existing financial information is understood across multiple reporting bases. Additionally, there is a mandate to have multiple scenarios available to understand performance, assess potential business decisions by SCOR, and have consensus across the finance and business organization on the values and their emergence over time. This position will require close coordination across the organization with different stakeholders and will be very visible to the executive management team who will be making business decisions based on the financial information and scenario planning shared. Strong analytical and communication skills are required to consume and challenge the financial information and to best represent a proposal or a variety of proposals to the management team.

    Responsibilities

    Key duties and responsibilities
    • Support the understanding and analysis of quarterly financial information relating to client specific life reinsurance business in accordance with Solvency II and IFRS17.
    • Support SGLA leadership in the analysis of underlying performance and identify emerging trends.
    • Provide and explain Key Performance Indicators to key stakeholders in the US and across SCOR Group.
    • Develop executive level presentations that can be shared with senior management team detailing full scope of issue and provide financial information that is actionable.
    • Develops, maintains and reviews analyses as needed of financial results, with a key focus to improve efficiency, business insights & auditability.
    • Explaining drivers of change in sensitivity analysis by having a solid understanding of business composition.
    • Partner closely with the SGLA's Inforce Optimization team to build consensus on financial results and identify key business drivers.
    • Partner closely within US Corporate Actuarial team, especially the financial development and valuation teams to explain reasonableness of results & suggest modeling enhancements from insights.
    • Complete special assignments and projects for the department, as necessary.
    • Utilize technology to perform job functions more efficiently and to further automate the production processes. Share technology solutions with other associates.

    Qualifications

    Required experience & competencies
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science or relevant work experience.
    • 10+ years of financial analysis experience.
    • Robust analytic and critical thinking skills with strong problem-solving ability.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written and relationship building.
    • Experience developing, implementing & controlling financial data and procedures.
    • 10+ years of experience working with and making sense of large volumes of data.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand complex models, processes, and data to deliver required results.
    Preferred
    • Data mining/Data Manipulation capabilities - Executing, modifying and creating basic queries.
    • Knowledge of IFRS 17/ Solvency II.
    • Experience with data analytic and visualization tools (Alteryx, Tableau, SQL)
    • Insurance and/or actuarial experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement departmental processes and controls and ensure appropriately documented.
