    What Makes a McKibbon Lead Bartender?


    The Lead Bartender is responsible for supervising the Bartenders who not only mixes and mingles with customers but is savvy about drink preparation.

    The Lead Bartender provides customized beverage service to each customer in a friendly, energetic and timely manner. Responsible for assuring the guest is having a great time and/or relaxing while at the bar.

    They are responsible for ensuring that all associates are passionate about guest service and have the ability to communicate effectively and multitask.

    • Lead Bartender will drive product quality and guest satisfaction consistently operating as if they 'own it'.
    • You will anticipate customer needs with the ability to change goals and direction quickly
    • You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including shift work, evenings, and weekends.
    • You must be legally able to serve alcohol in the State/Province where the job is located
    • You must possess computational skills to process guest payments
    • You have knowledge of State and local guidelines regarding service of alcohol
    • You should have knowledge of drink preparation is required
    • You must be able to lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30-lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
    • You will work with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager on administrative duties, including tracking expenses, maintaining profitability, and invoice input.
    • You will control the elements that determine profit and loss of the Food and Beverage operations.
    • You will move throughout the facility and monitor the action of food prep and serving areas to ensure that associates are meeting food and beverage quality, brand, and service standards.
    • You will control the elements that determine profit and loss of the Food and Beverage operations.
    • You will work with the hotels' sales team to ensure that all meeting spaces are properly supplied and maintained.
    • You will be responsible for restocking and replenishing the Pavilion Pantry.
    • You will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of the Food and Beverage Department, like budgeting, food costs, coding invoices, etc.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Two to Three years' minimum experience in a beverage/food outlet
    • Experience in a supervisory or leadership position is preferred
    • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including shift work, weekends, and holidays
    • The legal ability to serve alcohol in the State/Province
    • Knowledge of state and local guidelines regarding service of alcohol
    • Knowledge of drink preparation
    • Computational skills to process guest payments
    • Food safety certification and/or alcohol service training recommended
    • The ability to lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
    • The ability to anticipate customer needs and change course of action accordingly.

    • Experience working at a hotel establishment (highly desired)
    • The ability to implement the established menu and service standards
