TITLE: Development Engineering Manager (Job Code: RI1001)
DETAILS:
Manage/Lead a team of Development Engineers working on MSC Nastran Linear and Nonlinear Projects. Develop engineering solutions for Computer Aided Simulation of aerospace and automotive structures and implement these in MSC Nastran. Develop simulation methods for Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) analysis for automotive structures in MSC Nastran. Research and implement numerical methods for solving structural static and dynamic problems using linear and nonlinear Finite Element Analysis in MSC Nastran. Develop and implement methods for simulating Geometrically Nonlinear Flexible Aircraft Wings, including modelling of contact between wing structures and lift augmentation components. Development of poroelastic material models for vibroacoustics simulations of electric vehicles in MSC Nastran. Assist in development of cosimulation framework for interfacing MSC Nastran simulations with multibody simulation solvers. Development of reduced order models for representing smart structures in MSC Nastran. Assist in the development of a multiphysics hypersonics modelling and simulation framework for MSC Nastran. Train Engineers and document newly developed features of MSC Nastran. Project management of MSC Nastran linear and nonlinear solution projects from beginning to completion. Test and correct deficiencies in MSC Nastran. Supervise 5 direct reports holding the positions of Senior Development Engineer, Development Engineer IV, Development Engineer, Architect Sr, and Architect Technical. May work from home.
REQUIREMENTS:
Masters degree (or foreign equivalent)in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering field plus 6 years of experience in the offered position or related position.

Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be quantified by time. Required expertise/knowledge includes:
