    Position Summary

    We are looking for an empathetic Youth Career Counselor to aid our clients with deciphering and selecting their preferred career trajectories. The Career Counselor will be required to uncover clients' prominent and latent strengths, administer and score aptitude measures, and then confer with clients to deliberate findings obtained. You should also prepare clients for entry into their preferred disciplines.

    To ensure success as a career counselor, you should propose career-related options that clients might not have been able to detect without your intervention. Ultimately, an incredible career counselor should grasp the immense magnitude of their suggestions.

    This is a part time non- exempt position that reports to the Workforce and Housing Supervisor This position works out of our St. Cloud office.

    Wages : $21-23 per hour , depending on experience.

    Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Workforce One Management: Ensure complete and accurate data entry for all participants in the Workforce One system within 15 business days of the participant application date.
    • Update and maintain current Workforce One data throughout the grant contract period. This includes entering all case notes, activities, credentials, employment data, etc. within the mandated time frame.
    • Ensure consistent data accuracy and integrity in Workforce One, abiding by set guidelines and standards.
    • Training and Onboarding: Attend and actively participate in grantee onboarding training within the first 60 days of contract execution.
    • Conduct individual meetings with each youth to identify interest and needs
    • Evaluate their interest and progress in career exploration activities, determine career goals, and develop
    • Ability to recruit new Clients to the program through various techniques including establishing relationship with local schools
    • Conduct a comprehensive Personal Learning Plan that incorporates elements of the program
    • Inspecting clients' career-related aspirations, concerns, and uncertainties throughout the consultation process.
    • Reviewing clients' personal and educational undertakings and how the manifestation of these might inform their prospective job-related choices.
    • Guiding clients through the completion of aptitude, personality, and adjacent tests.
    • Scoring clients' responses to pertinent items and conferring with them about the results of these.
    • Proposing career-related options that are congruent with your substantiated insights
    • Walking clients through the process of compiling and restructuring their resumes.
    • Pinpointing and informing clients of potentially helpful career-related opportunities.
    • Finding new opportunities of volunteering, internship and on the job experience for the youth and supporting the youth on completing this assignments

    Experience, Skill, & Abilities

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial psychology, social development, human resources, or similar.
    • Graduate degree in counseling plus an appropriate license is preferred.
    • Demonstrable history of displaying excellent clinical judgment.
    • Knowledgeable about ever-changing trends across all dominant industries.
    • Familiarity with obscure yet accessible job opportunities.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
    • Top-notch investigative, assessment, and communication skills.
    • Ability to equip all clients to enter their preferred discipline.
    • Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products.
