Overview:

Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Multi Billion AUM Investment Management firm in Los Angeles looking for an AVP to handle corporate Accounting.

The AVP will be part of a department responsible for maintaining and reviewing the books and records of the investment legal entities through which funds hold various debt, equity, and other investments.

The individual will work closely with offshore and onshore teams to provide reporting and analysis to tax, fund accounting, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Description:

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with legal and tax documents for investment entities.
Analyze deal structures and translate information into fund flow schedules.
Collaborate with tax department to address tax holdback requirements.
Verify proper investment funding allocations for multi-fund deals.
Review partner class allocations and identify entity expenses.
Approve wires for fundings, seedings, and upstreams.
Review books for investment entities and reconcile trial balances.
Coordinate with internal and external tax preparers for filings.
Monitor and report on blocker notes and third-party debt.
Provide oversight and training to accounting team.
Review profit and loss allocations and capital activity.
Work on process and technology improvement projects.
Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications
9-11 years of accounting or tax experience.
Strong understanding of private credit and equity investments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical with problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with partnership structures and tax considerations.
