    Reports to:
    Plant and EHS Manager


    The Environment, Health, and Safety Coordinator develops and ensures implementation and compliance of the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety management system, ensures that employees are properly trained on the Environmental, Health, and Safety system, and completes and submits all Health and Safety Environmental reports.


    Duties:

    • Understands OSHA general industry and EPA regulations and related state and local regulations.
    • Develop, implement and periodically review safety and environmental plans/procedures
    • Identify hazards and potential risk and assist operation with eliminating or mitigating those hazards
    • Audits facilities programs to ensure compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations
    • Conduct accident investigations and root cause analysis.
    • Review and update environmental operations to ensure permits are renewed
    • Provide required Safety and Environmental training to the work force.
    • Complete required Environmental compliance reporting for all ConnSelmer facilities. (form R, Tier II, etc)
    • Oversee waste disposal and wastewater treatment programs
    • Maintain Corporate records of all requirements and monitor compliance
    • Organize data management and process for all facilities in order to complete compliance reporting
    • Own/Be Involved with the implementation/sustainment of safety related programs (STOP Observations, 5S program, etc)
    • Other duties are performed under the guidance and direction of Supervisor/Manager

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in environmental health, environmental engineering, environmental studies. At least 1 year of experience.
    • Knowledge of State and Federal Environmental requirements
    • Knowledge of various software programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with people they interact with
    • Good verbal and writing skills
    • Using a computer while sitting for extended periods
    • Prolonged standing and walking though out facilities
    • Proficient organization, communication and computer skills required.
