    POSITION SUMMARY:
    This person is the guardian of food safety, compliance and quality and the challenger of all functions to drive Nestlé Continuous Excellence in the pursuit of zero defect as the essential base for maintaining consumer trust and preference for Nestle Infant Nutrition categories of product

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Operational quality responsibility for a defined category(s) in US


    People and know-how:
    Develop and maintain competences and quality awareness, and commitment to zero defect


    Technical assistance:
    Assist other departments in the entire value chain and provides them with services necessary to ensure quality in their fields

    Quality auditing and verification:

    Ensure that a quality system is in place, is efficient and obtains expected results for the Nestlé production facilities, contract manufacturers, suppliers and warehouses or distribution centers.


    Root Cause analysis and action plan:
    Monitor quality performance in the operating companies for opportunities to improve in the quest for zero defect. Lead the market or business division level management review of quality process.


    Crisis & Incidents Management:
    Provides support to the Director of Quality for Crisis and Incident Management and capable of making frequent autonomous decisionsQuality strategy: Responsible for the implementation of the quality strategy throughout the business/division and monitors its enforcement by supporting relevant KPIs

    Quality Release:
    Responsible for exceptional release and unblock activities for the division.

    Support all Operations functions (Application Group, Engineering, Supply Chain) on Food safety/Quality related activitiesInfluence all non-Operations functions (Marketing, Public Affairs, Regulatory, Sales ...) on Food safety/ Quality related activitiesDrive all Innovation and Renovation Food safety and Product Quality related issues / activities for a specific product category in US.


    QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors' degree (preferred microbiology, chemistry, or food science-related studies).
    • 5+ Years of experience including operations/product in the manufacturing quality space Operational ExperienceLine management with demonstrated capability to influence a group, e

    • QA manager in a factory; or
    • Production or Application Group Manager of a factory.
    Business Experience- Leadership capabilities across several functions. - Different factory and/or market positions, environments (GMB, Centre, Region, Market, Expatriation, Mission, Special Projects).- Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams OTHER SKILLS:

    • Leadership and people development skills.
    • English language and preferably local language written and spoken.
    • Able to communicate with all levels of management and experts.
    • Able to work under pressure in times of crises.
