    Job Description

    Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the financial performance of the firm's investments and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Provide tax guidance and support to the investment team throughout the deal life cycle, including due diligence, structuring, and negotiation.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors, legal counsel, and finance professionals to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage the tax implications of fund formations, capital raising, and investor reporting.
  • Perform tax planning and analysis for portfolio companies, including tax-efficient exit strategies.
  • Oversee tax compliance activities, including the preparation and review of tax returns, filings, and disclosures.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact our tax position and advise senior management accordingly.
  • Support internal and external audits and inquiries related to tax matters.

    The Successful Applicant

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree (MST, JD) preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax consulting or compliance, with a focus on partnership tax or alternative investments.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and international tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience structuring complex transactions and analyzing tax implications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
