Job DescriptionCSI Recruiting is working with an innovative start-up based in Midland, Texas that provides a unique approach to serving the growing need for electrical power in support of oil and gas field operations.

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer who has experience working in industrial power generation and distribution environments and supporting electrical facilities (including generation, substations, renewables and distribution systems), preferably within the oil and gas industry.

Reporting directly to the VP of Operations and Engineering, this individual will assist in the design and project management of building new generation facilities and distribution centers across field locations located in the Permian Basin.

RequirementsThe ideal candidate for this role will have experience with the design and operations of LV and MV electrical generation infrastructure and possess knowledge and familiarity of the utility grid (power generation, transmission and distribution) system and operations.

Additionally, this individual should have a demonstrated understanding of the function and application of generation electrical and control house equipment.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
Leading the electrical scope of field-based projects, the Electrical Engineer will:Provide technical expertise for the design and specification of electrical scopeAssist the team with the development of processes and procedures to improve project execution efficiencyPerform physical electrical, protection and control, SCADA systems, station communications and station automation design on small to medium sized micro-grid engineering projectsPerform medium to advanced complexity engineering calculations to support engineering design and operationsRead and design generation protection and control drawings, such as one-line drawings, three-line drawings, AC/DC schematic drawings and wiring systemsServe as the contact for vendors and customers related to field projectsTravel to the field as requiredSelf-starter with the ability to perform assigned tasks with little to no supervisionMaintain a team-oriented, flexible attitude and embrace changes to initial plans as needed to maintain safety and reliable operations

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required, Electrical Engineering preferred5+ years of experience with design and operations of LV and MV electrical generation and infrastructureDemonstrated understanding of utility grid systems, protective relaying, development of SEL relay database files and evaluating event reportsExperience supporting electrical facilities, preferably in the oil and gas sector (oil field facilities, natural gas facilities, generation stations, etc.)
