The Field Service Technician will assist with on-site installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of telecommunications products and equipment sold or leased by TDS. They will have direct face-to-face contact with customers and be proactive in selling TDS services and products.

This position exceeds customer expectations by performing extraordinary customer service, identifying customer needs, and providing them with communications solutions. Products & services include but are not limited to local service central office services structured cabling MAC moves adds changes voice mail audio/video conferencing non-regulated CPE etc.

1. Assists with performs on-site installing troubleshooting testing splicing repairing maintaining telephone equipment general network equipment customer premise equipment video CATV DBS fiber optic copper facilities other TDS products services new existing customers identifies location defective cable using various test equipment repairs buried aerial underground buried/or customercable locates cable responding customer requests construction needs pole climbing operatingconstructionequipment required marks companyundergroundburiedfacilities prevent damaged keeps orderly log locate requests exchange area performs faultacceptancetestscallednewlyconstructedfacilities assists provides troubleshootingsupporttechniques corrections responds 'trouble'dispatches supports enhancingmaintainin grecordssystems crossconnects linegroups networkelements'
