Job description
Position SummaryThe Material Planner ensures raw and packaging materials are available to meet production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
This role oversees material planning, work order generation, ERP transactions, supplier coordination, and inventory control to support efficient manufacturing operations and food safety standards.
What You Will DoManage material requirements (MRP) to support on-time production
Maintain appropriate inventory and safety stock levels
Coordinate supplier deliveries, resolve shortages, and monitor performance
Process work orders and goods receipts within the ERP system
Support month-end/year-end inventory activities and reporting
Track supplier scorecards and inventory KPIs
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow
Partner cross-functionally with production, sales, engineering, and accounting
What We Are Looking For
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proactive, adaptable, and responsive to operational and supply chain changes
1–3 years of experience in planning, purchasing, or inventory control preferred
ERP/MRP system experience (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, JDA)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
