Description
We are seeking highly skilled and Data Cable Installers to join our team at our state-of-the-art data center. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and managing data cables to interconnect network switches within our data center frames. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our network installations. In this role you will be setting up 72 size frames with 1K cables per frame. The 42U frame connection sizes range from 500 to 1100 per frame. Once the frames are built, they are packaged up and shipped ready to use for the end client. Additionally, you will be using pre-cut looped fiber and must adhere to proper looming standards.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain data cables for interconnecting network switches within the data center.
Ensure all cable installations meet IPC620 standards for quality and reliability.
Perform precise cable routing, management, and labeling to maintain an organized and efficient data center environment.
Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal network performance and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with network engineers to design and implement structured cabling systems that support existing and future network infrastructure needs.
Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of the data center network configuration.
Adhere to safety protocols and data center security regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in data cable installation, specifically within data centers.
Familiarity with various types of network cables (e.g., Ethernet, fiber optic) and connectors.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and data center operations.
Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and network diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and precision in execution.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with large scale data center projects.
Additional certifications in network engineering or related fields.
Familiarity with network diagnostic and management tools.
