The Vermont Department of Health is looking for our next Public Health Laboratory Microbiology Program Chief.

- ,Leading a team to develop federal grant budgets and milestones.,Managing microbiology program staff and resources to conduct testing in response to outbreaks or investigations of public health importance.,Ensuring high quality testing by ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and participation in activities such as validation,,verification,,and procedural development.Serving as a microbiology subject matter expert during public health emergency preparedness an"response.Coordinating closely with colleagues in Infectious Disease Epidemiology an"t teams in other divisions o fthe Healt"Department,such as Environmental Healt"an Emergency Preparedness an"t Response.Representing the Vermont Department o fHealth Laboratory in meetings wi hthe Centers for Disease Control an&d Prevention CDC,the Association o fPublic Health Laboratories APHL,and other regional an&d national coo rdinating bodies.Serving as spokesperson i nresponse tmedia inquiries,Serving on the Laborato ryLeadership Team an<>a key role i nsetting the overall strategy an<>a direction o fthe laboratory."
