    What we want

    The Client Technologies Analyst I will be responsible for supervising 12-15 student workers at the Blocker Media Center. This center has a service area of 87+ classrooms/labs/conferencing rooms, providing Tier 1 to 2 support. This position provides help with any classroom, lab, or conference room related projects, plans, and schedules.

    What you need to know

    Salary: Commensurate on selected candidate's experience

    Schedule: Provides on-call support on nights and weekends as needed.

    Physical: Must be able to lift and/or move light weight objects.​​

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Four months (1 semester) of student worker and/or customer service experience..

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
    • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
    • Customer service skills.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Technical school degree in electronics and/or computer science.
    • Two years of microcomputer/LAN administration experience.
    • Supervisory experience

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Cross-disciplined IT skills, advanced IT skills, report writing skills, intermediate troubleshooting, client relations, ingenuity, formulating and contributing ideas, and knowledge of ITIL.
    • Experience with multi-media support and installation of computer and audio-visual equipment.
    • Working knowledge/experience of a multi-media control systems, such as AMX and Extron. (Preferably AMX).
    • Experience working with Faculty/Staff regarding intergraded audio visuals systems.
    • Experience working/training/leading/coaching employees who will be providing Tier 1 to 2 support.

    Preferred Certifications:

    • Certifications in AMX, Crestron, Extron or CTS, Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe or equivalent.

    Responsibilities:

    • Core Duties: Confers with other personnel in resolving problems involving procedural and technical matters. Research problems and recommend solutions. Provides resource estimates and progress reports. Serves on committees to develop technical standards and direction. Meets with customers and technical staff to determine information needs and requirement. Ensures that all work is accurate and in compliance with departmental or project quality standards. Provides input for the planning and budget process.
    • Problem Management: Troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software for classrooms. Troubleshoots and repairs configuration problems. Assists with troubleshooting network problems. Provides Tier I support and assists with Tier II, as needed.
    • Computer Multi-Media Installation and Configuration: Installs, upgrades, and configures multi-media hardware and software.
    • Client Consultation and Training: Assists with recommendations, specifications, and plans for audio visual hardware and software purchases. Provides technical training for users and other technical staff.
    • Supervision: Supervises and trains student workers.
    • Data Security: Monitors and maintains system security. Provides protection and recovery support for client data.
    • Technology Planning and Evaluation: Assists with the evaluation of new technologies to determine their applicability to the client's needs. Assists in gathering data for technology proposals.
    • Documentation: Documents classroom equipment methods and procedures to include computers and automation hardware.
    • Project Planning Support: May assist project leader with developing work plan and time schedules for projects including outlining phases and identifying personnel and computing equipment requirements.
    • Professional Development: Participates in training and professional development sessions. Performs other duties as assigned.
