    Works directly with the Medical Physicist as a member of the Treatment Planning Team. Responsible for all dosimetry performed on all radiation oncology patients under the supervision and medical authority of the Radiation Oncologists. Responsible for the technical supervision, coordination and quality assurance of the dosimetry division of the radiation oncology department.


    Required:

    1. Certified Medical Dosimetrist or Board Eligible Medical Dosimetrist. Must be Certified within 2 years.
    2. Demonstrates advanced teamwork skills.
    3. Must be able to understand the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics to derive computerized treatment plans, and communicate these aspects to the Radiation Oncologist for plan approval, and to the Radiation Therapist for plan implementation.
    4. Perform routine duties independent of supervision, but consults with the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist as required.
    5. Has working knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
    6. Has the ability to interpret and execute treatment plans as defined in relevant treatment protocols.
    7. Certified in cardio‐pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

    Preferred:

    1. Certified Medical Dosimetrist with minimum of 3 years' experience in Radiation Oncology including IMRT treatment planning
