    We are seeking a motivated and efficient AdministrativeSpecialist II, an important position in the Customer Service Section of the Business Operations Branch, whichis responsible for ensuring that DLS has all the tools needed in order to provide high quality, accurate andtimely laboratory testing and diagnostic services to healthcare providers and clients throughout theCommonwealth of Kentucky.

DLS is seeking anAdministrative Specialist I to serve as the Division receptionist; the main point of contact for those callingor responding in-person to the laboratory. This individual will provide administrative support in the review,evaluation, development and implementation Division activities. Focus will be on excellent customer service,reviewing purchasing documents for accuracy and providing demographic data entry. The candidate for thisposition needs to be a fast learner, enthusiastic, motivated to do an excellent job, have a desire to improvesystems and keep the team informed of issues. The successful candidate should be professional, polite,attentive to details, and understands the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

    Position is 100% in office.

    Responsibilities for the position:
  • Performs division receptionist duties.
  • Provides beginning level administrative support.
  • Collects and analyzes funding data, logs in spreadsheet.
  • Helps resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Division Procard holder.
  • Enters patient demographics, ensures accuracy.
  • Develops and maintains Microsoft Excel and Word documents as requested by management team.
  • Collects data and monitors metrics used for quality assurance and compliance programs.
  • The successful candidate should have the following skills:
  • Computer Literacy/Data entry experience
  • Understand confidentiality requirements (HIPAA)
  • Perform MS Excel, Word, Power Point functions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
