Genesis is a 260-bed, nationally accredited cardiac center and the only hospital in the nation to earn accreditation for Atrial Fibrillation.
This role is primarily based on 4 South (Cardiac Unit), a fast-paced environment that requires "Day 1" proficiency in telemetry reading and Epic charting.

Unit: 4 South Cardiac (Primary) + Med-Surg Float Pool
Ratio:
Typically 1:4 or 1:5 on Telemetry units.
Role Highlights
Cardiac Focus:
Manage patients with arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-procedural recovery (stents, pacemakers).
High-Acuity Skills:
Must be expert in EKG/Tele interpretation
Warning:
You will be tested on your first day; failure to pass the telemetry competency results in immediate termination.
EMR Mastery:
Genesis utilizes Epic. The facility has a "zero-tolerance" policy for EMR learning curves—you must be fully proficient upon arrival.
Versatility:
You will float to Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, and the ED (for boarders).
This is an ideal role for an RN who enjoys high variety and keeps their skills sharp across multiple specialties.
Mandatory RequirementsExperience:
Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry or Stepdown experience.
Certifications:
Current AHA BLS and ACLS are required.
Licensure:
Active Ohio RN License.
Note:
Ohio is a member of the eNLC (Compact). If your primary state of residence is a compact state, you are ready to start.
Returning Travelers:
If you have been at Genesis in the last 9 months, you may have more start date flexibility; otherwise, the facility is firm on their orientation schedule.
