    Exciting Opportunity for Per Diem Registered Respiratory Therapist at UHealth System, University of Miami

    The UHealth System at the University of Miami has a position open for a Per Diem Registered Respiratory Therapist. This role involves assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. The Respiratory Therapist conducts tests to evaluate patients' cardiopulmonary functions, performs bronchopulmonary drainage, educates patients on breathing exercises, and more.

    CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Conducts various tests to evaluate patients' cardiopulmonary functions.
    • Performs bronchopulmonary drainage and educates patients on breathing exercises.
    • Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators and aerosol generators.
    • Reviews patient information and determines treatment requirements.
    • Explains treatment procedures and educates patients about their conditions.
    • Monitors patients' responses to therapy and maintains therapy equipment.

    CORE QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: High School diploma or equivalent

    Certification and Licensing:

    • Current FL Registered Respiratory Therapist License
    • Basic Life Support Certification
    • Advance Cardiac Life Support Certification

    Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred
