- Flame cutting, Beveling, Pre and Tack welding, Grinding, Straightening, Bracing and building basic fabrications to print using a fixture or where minimal or no machine stock is required.
- Maintain welding equipment and shop fabrication tools for assigned work area
- Must be able to set parameters on their welding machine with guidance from the supervisor, and understand the information that is listed on the welding procedure specs.
- Experience welding thick metal, 1/2" - 2"
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months of experience in the welding and fabricating field
- Proficiency reading blueprint and recognizing weld symbols
- Tack welding, using FCAW, GMAW or Stick electrodes
- Ability to read standard and metric tape measures
- Ability to weld in all positions
- Ability to build fabrications from basic blueprints and detailed prints with minimal machine surfaces
