- Acts on behalf of Director in his/her absence, with regards to general member and/or staff concerns.
- Supervises the KidZone which includes recruiting, orientation, training, coaching, recognizing, and evaluating childcare staff.
- Monitors parent/child feedback.
- Ensures that KidZone has adequate staff at all times, securing substitutes when necessary.
- Meets with staff on a regular basis.
- Develops and implements structured plan for KidZone.
- Handles team staff concerns as they occur and communicate them to supervisor.
- Maintains health and safety standards of the KidZone.
- Provides superior customer service to members and their children by assisting with problem solving and conflict situations.
- Assists in the coordination of special staff, member and volunteer events.
- Participates in branch management functions and planning.
- Attends all required staff meetings and trainings. Assists supervisor with facilitating staff meetings.
- Knows and understands branch and association policies and procedures.
- Ensures proper set-up and break-down of area on a daily basis.
- Communicates appropriately with other staff members in a positive manner.
- Assists with volunteer training and modeling procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with children in education and/or healthcare.
- Prior experience working in a service-oriented environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to work well with children of various ages and abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
- Ability to make decisions and work as a team player.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule.
- Ability to creatively solve problems.
