    Join our dynamic team as an Senior Systems Engineer - Advanced Concepts and become a vital contributor to support NASA as an Oceaneering Teammate on the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) II contract.

    As an integral part of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in the Advanced Projects Section in the Engineering Department on the NASA JSC Engineering, Technology and Science II (JETS II) Contract.

    Someone in this role would typically have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of five (5) years of experience.

    International travel may be required.

    Straight time overtime, 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), and/or 1 day of telework per week may be available**As an Advanced Concepts Senior Systems engineer, you will work with NASA JSC Engineering's EX2 Branch to define NASA's future exploration architecture and elements for both Lunar and Mars exploration.

    Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors.


    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
    • Developing and performing concept studies and parametric trade studies -along with documenting results.
    • Conceptual engineering architecture development and architecture analysis for space vehicles and systems of space vehicles.
    • Pre-Phase A engineering integration of space vehicle systems and across multiple vehicles operating in a system of systems.
    • Experience creating concepts for operations of single vehicle systems as well as operations across multiple space vehicles.
    • Experience creating configuration growth or evolution plans and defining incremental capabilities for a mission sequence.
    • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and associated documentation.
    Experience working across NASA centers.


    • Experience with space mission analysis (e.g., orbit analysis, delta-V budgets, spacecraft constraint evaluation).
    • Familiarity with human space exploration systems (for example Orion, Commercial Crew, ISS, EMU/xEMU).
    • Basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection for engineering products.
    • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification.
