HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Full Time

(Covering Carteret County)

Role Overview:

• Apply nursing theories and concepts effectively.
• Ensure care and documentation meet reimbursement guidelines.
• Collaborate on patient care with family, physicians, and the Hospice team.
• Maintain open communication with patients, families, and agency personnel.
• Participate in IDT meetings and quality reviews.

Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure in the state of practice with a nursing education background from an approved school and at least two years of clinical experience, including one year in hospice nursing if possible.
• Understanding of home health and hospice care programs and the nurse's role within the patient care team.
• Proficiency in nursing principles, agency policies, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Completion of 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Willingness to travel as needed and be on call during weekends, evenings, and holidays.
