Job summary
The Robotic Welding Cell Set-up/Operator is responsible for the daily setup and operation of a MIG welding robot in a fabrication shop environment to the customer's specifications concerning quantity and quality.This position involves operating manual and/or robotic welding equipment, reading shop orders and engineering drawings to determine specifications,
and accurately completing all required functions. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist other operators as needed,
safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product, perform quality checks as prescribed,
document information in written or electronic form, complete finishing functions such as grinding or sanding,
perform operator preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems, welders or components;
and develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency safety and quality.
