    Description

    Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking to hire a Full-Time Cardiovascular Invasive Registered Nurse for their Catheterization Laboratory. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, or Interventional Radiology.**Strongly prefer 3 plus years nursing experience and/or prior experience working in Cardiac Cath Lab, EP, IR or ICU, ED. Experience in ICU, Emergency Department, and Progressive Cardiac Care will also be considered.

    This position requires being on-call. The schedule consists of 4x10-hour shifts covering 7 am to 5 pm.

    The Inova Heart and Vascular Institute (IHVI) offers cutting-edge cardiovascular care in multiple locations across Northern Virginia. The institute utilizes state-of-the-art facilities and takes an innovative approach to vascular disease treatment, providing personalized and comprehensive care.

    The Invasive Cardiovascular Labs at Inova consist of 6 labs handling various cases such as Coronary, Heart Catheterizations, and Peripheral Interventions.

    As a Cardiovascular Invasive RN, you will play a vital role in providing safe and holistic care. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, preparation of instruments, administration of medication, and maintaining a sterile field.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Performs comprehensive assessments and tailors caring practices based on individual needs.
    • Participates in healthcare planning and acts as a mentor to team members.
    • Supports cost-saving initiatives and ensures efficient patient care.
    • Accurately enters patient charge information and collaborates on projects in Cath/EP labs.
    • Delegates tasks, participates in unit teams, and assists with equipment operation.

    Requirements

    Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is essential. RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia is necessary. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is also required.

    If you are an RN with an Associate Degree, you must complete a BSN within 24 months of starting. Prior experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, EP, IR, or ICU, ED is highly preferred.
