    Job Description

    American Traveler seeks an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation assignment requiring at least 1 year of acute rehab experience and an AK license or eligibility.

    Responsibilities
    Work in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving a diverse patient population including stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and amputations
    10-bed LTACH/ICU and 46-bed inpatient rehabilitation units
    Day shifts, four 10-hour shifts per week with options including Sun/Mon/Thu/Fri or Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri
    Approximately 2 weekend days per month are required if not included in a regular schedule
    No call or floating outside of the assigned facility
    Epic EMR is used and experience is required
    Free parking is available
    Provide therapy services to patients recovering from a variety of complex conditions
    Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state if needed
    Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
    Minimal or no RTO is preferred; all time-off requests must be submitted up front
    Scrub color is flexible
    Two supervisory references covering one year of employment in a comparable setting within the last three years are required for consideration

    Requirements
    Current AK Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one (license required if applicable)
    Current BLS and NBCOT certification
    Minimum 1 year acute rehab facility experience required; IRF experience preferred
    Experience with Epic EMR system is required
    Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility
    First-time travelers are accepted
    Pending AK license considered, but preference given to candidates with license in hand
