- Receive, count, and verify daily cash deposits from different hotel departments.
- Maintain precise records of all cash transactions.
- Ensure proper accountability and secure storage of all cash received.
- Prepare daily bank deposits and ensure timely bank delivery.
- Reconcile daily cash and credit card receipts with hotel records.
- Investigate and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Accurately record all cash transactions in the accounting system.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports for review by the Finance Manager.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits.
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures related to cash handling and security.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Implement effective controls to prevent fraud and theft.
- Provide support to other departments on cash-related matters.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to enhance processes and efficiency.
- Assist in training staff on correct cash handling procedures.
- High school diploma; associate degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a cashier or accounting role, preferably in hospitality.
- Experience in a luxury hotel environment is advantageous.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel.
