- Develop and implement machine learning strategies that align with the company's research and development goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biology, chemistry, clinical, and regulatory departments, to integrate machine learning solutions into various stages of drug development.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models for predicting drug efficacy, safety, and patient outcomes.
- Apply advanced machine learning techniques, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing, to analyze complex biological data sets.
- Ensure the robustness, reproducibility, and scalability of machine learning models and pipelines.
- Work with large-scale, high-dimensional biological data, including genomics, proteomics, imaging, and clinical data.
- Develop and maintain data infrastructure, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and insights that inform model development.
- Present findings and insights to senior management and key stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with academic institutions, industry partners, and external vendors.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field with a strong emphasis on machine learning and biotechnology.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in machine learning, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models in a research or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of bioinformatics tools and databases
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and C++.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
