The Licensed Practical Nurse works within the framework of the Patient Care Services Organization as a member of
the health care team. The primary responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse is to deliver patient care under the

devices), performing phlebotomy, safety measures, personal hygiene skills, nutritional skills, elimination skills, heat
and cold applications, admission/transfers/discharge, perioperative care, musculosketal skills, respiratory skills,
transfer/transport skills, and specimen collection/testing.
Assure Safety and Cleaniness of Environment, Equipment and Supplies by providing a clean and safe
environment to meet quality patient care. and common areas to assure equipment is in its proper place, and cleans equipment.
LPN III's Only may, under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse monitor (not initiate) Blood
product administration, via peripheral routes only, initiate Peripheral Intravenous Therapy , administer pre-medicated
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing. Must hold current New York State registration or
