    What You'll Be Doing

    As the Human Resources Coordinator at Chelsea Investment Corporation, you will be responsible for providing human resources administrative support functions, as well as facilitating and communicating organizational policies and programs and ensuring labor law and regulatory compliance by providing internal support to business lines.

    Additionally, your tasks will include, but not be limited to:

    Providing general support to the human resources team with employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation and payroll, benefits, diversity, and assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, maintaining spreadsheets and reports, and other clerical functions.

    Researching new initiatives and best practices relating to increased employee retention.
    Staying abreast of changes to labor law to ensure continuous compliance.
    Coordinating the administrative aspects of onboarding for new hires and offboarding for departing employees.
    Assisting the office and administrative team with employee engagement initiatives, including employee events.
    Assisting with preparing and entering employee data into the HRIS (ADP Workforce Now).
    Supporting recruiting efforts by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, completing screenings, and tracking applicants.

    What You'll Need to Perform the Role

    You'll use your Associate degree in human resources or a related field, plus two (2) years of HR administrative experience in a professional office setting, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) to be successful in this role.

    You may also have an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill, and abilities have been attained.

    Human Resources certification, such as PHR or SHRM-PC, is highly preferred.

    Knowledge of basic Human Resources principles, payroll functions, and CA labor laws is a plus.

    You'll also need the following attributes:

    Keen attention to detail with focused adherence to strict deadlines and procedures.
    Sound problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment.
    High level of integrity and dependability, including handling sensitive and confidential information.
    Teamwork mindset and temperament to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
    Superior ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
    Genuine desire to work in the real estate development affordable housing industry.
    Personal accountability and enthusiasm for achieving company goals.

    Hiring Range
    $28.85 per hour - $33.66 per hour, depending on qualifications.


    The pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting but may change based on education and experience.

    Final compensation is determined by various factors, such as education, training, experience, work location, required travel (if any), and external market conditions.
