    Innovation and Quality Project Manager (Project Management Office PM) Responsibilities:

    General Tasks:

    • Manage assigned projects in accordance with best practices and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ("FERC") accepted project management methodologies, from initiation to delivery of each product, outcome, service or result.
    • Develop and maintain MS Project schedules as needed by projects.
    • Interface with both internal and external teams to effectively manage, track, and report on all activities. Work with SAIC and Document Operations ("DocOps") Team Leads to effectively track and manage projects activities.
    • Upload and maintain all project artifacts, reports, plans, schedules, and any other documents on FERC's intranet/FERCollaborate and ensure it is accessible to SAIC Leads and approved Federal staff.

    Risks and Issues:

    • Maintain a Risk and Issue Management Plan for all risks and issues associated with the DocOps Call Order and subordinate projects. The Risk and Issue Management Plan shall be consistent with industry best practices and FERC PMO processes and procedures, and the FERC Project Risk Management Policy. All risks and issues shall be managed according to this policy.
    • Provide inputs to the SharePoint generated project site "Risk and Issue Log" to track project risks and issues through closure. Risks and issues shall be identified, assessed, managed, mitigated (or resolved), documented, categorized, and reported according to FERC's Project Risk Management Policy.
    • Monitor, update, and report risks and issues on a weekly basis.
    • Proactively notify the SAIC DocOps Program Manager with a level of urgency consistent with the severity of the risk (as identified in FERC's Risk Management Policy). Critical and high risks and issues shall be escalated to the DocOps Call Order COR, as needed.
    • Manage risks in a DocOps Risk Register (i.e. Risk and Issue Log), addressing risks and issues to project costs, scope, contract, schedule, resources, etc.
    • Notify the SAIC DocOps Program Manager of all project risks and issues.

    Quality Program:

    • Work closely with Process Innovation Manager to manage Quality Assurance Program at FERC OSEC.
    • Monitor teams' performance metrics to ensure SLA goals are met.
    • Work with teams to address performance and quality issues and to identify root causes.
    • Ensure teams provide SLAs on time and review SLAs prior submission to client.

    Technology Innovation:

    • Identify technical opportunities to improve processes and technologies utilized by the DocOps Program.
    • Gather and update (as needed) requirements to upgrade and improve current DocOps applications, including: FOLA, e-Library, FileNet. Ensure requirements are reviewed with customer.
    • Work closely with IT Operations, Tier 3 and Software Development Teams to ensure DocOps requirements are added to development backlogs.
    • Monitor backlog progress and provide updates to DocOps customer and Program Team.
    • Provide daily and weekly updates on Innovation activities.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.
    • PMP Certification
    • Strong understanding and ability to leverage Microsoft Project
    • Ability to travel 2-3 days per month to client site in Washington D.C.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

    Desired:

    • Experience with Risk Management in a government environment
    • Experience using SharePoint
    • ITIL certification
