- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Knowledge of basic FRA rules.
- Must be able to get and maintain a certified driver's license. (CDL)
- Basic welding including flat, vertical up, gas torch, plasma cutter and air arc.
- Perform light mechanical work including changing of shoes, operation of hux gun, and change-out of O rings, air valves, and air hoses.
- Retain knowledge of FRA and AAR rules as applied to work procedures, inspections, and correct repair procedures. Remove, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, using hand and power tools when necessary.

JOB SUMMARY
Railcar Repair Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of railcars kept up to FRA and AAR standards. This will require basic welding, light mechanical work, and operation of small equipment, as well as any other duties as instructed.
