    Your New Role...This Senior Accountant reports to the Sr.

    Accounting Manager and will assist with month-end closing and reporting, consolidation of actual results, oversight of the day-to-day execution of general accounting and operating activities with the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider for the Universal/WB joint venture.

    Successful Senior Accountants have a desire to gain a deep understanding of the business and have a customer service mindset towards the various Corporate Functions with whom there is regular interaction.

    The Studios Controllership team values recommendations on process improvements and standardization to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness within the finance organization.

    Your Role Accountabilities...Performing day-to-day execution of general accounting activities and operating activities. Guiding offshore BPO teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of GL activity.
    Review and assess the accuracy of key accruals such as return reserves and inventory obsolescence reserves.

    Prepare and review month-end close reporting deliverables to assist the team in assessing the accuracy and completeness of by-title and financial statement information.

    Assist in the preparation of the quarterly balance sheet review presented to Executive Management. Responsibilities include coordinating support with team and reviewing reconciliations.
    Review monthly balance sheet fluctuations, and identify, investigate, and resolve irregular items. Prepare adjusting journal entries as required.
    Complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as determined by internal management.
    Qualifications & Experience...Minimum of 3 years of experience working in accounting or related financial area.
    Media and entertainment industry preferred.
    Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance (required).CPA preferred.

    Knowledge of SAP (including Business Warehouse)Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OutlookStrong knowledge of accounting principles that pertain to scope of work.

    Utilizes advanced analytical skills and draws keen insights from the data.
    Uses thorough logic and methods as well as business knowledge to solve problems.
    Successfully manages multiple deadline-driven projects.
    Manages intermediate-level processes and projects with minimal input from others by taking proactive action to resolve general challenges.
    Raises conflicts and concerns to supervisor; makes suggestions to management regarding how to resolve.
    Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers, other levels of personnel and outside clients.

    Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discoverys total compensation package for employees.


    Pay Range:
    $62, $116,610.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
