    As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality control throughout the production process. Your responsibilities will encompass monitoring, analyzing, and improving quality metrics, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor the entire production cycle to proactively identify and address potential nonconformities, conducting regular tests and inspections to maintain product integrity.
    • Conduct thorough inspections of products and materials, sorting as necessary to maintain quality standards.
    • Provide support to the team in meeting all customer requirements for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
    • Lead Corrective Action Teams (CARs) in completing 8D reports and driving impactful change.
    • Utilize root cause analysis methodologies such as 5-Why and Fishbone diagrams to identify and address quality issues.
    • Establish statistical trends by tracking quality concerns, acceptable error rates, and measures of improvement.
    • Develop receiving inspection sampling plans and work instructions, applying relevant metrics to guide decision-making.
    • Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying and implementing statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports by analyzing data and making recommendations for quality enhancements.
    • Complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements and fulfill customer demands for existing and new programs, including tasks such as IMDS submissions, FMEA analysis, and Control Plan development.
    • Assist in various quality-related tasks, including time studies, process updates, and production support.
    • Define quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures and ensure compliance through regular audits based on ISO 9001 and IATF standards.
    • Review and update blueprints and quality documentation to maintain accurate records and support document control efforts.
    • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related goals and objectives as needed.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field.
    • 5+ years of experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role.
    • Certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
    • Prior experience in the automotive industry, particularly with Tier 1 customers, is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies.
    • Strong statistical analysis skills, including experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and certification in AIAG Core Tools.
    • Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently.
    • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and familiarity with ISO/IATF standards.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Passionate about quality and committed to delivering results.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to use company inventory and production reporting processes effectively.
    • Capable of lifting 40lbs and performing mathematical calculations.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
