    Position Summary: The Plant Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing production schedules, maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance with company policies, fostering a safe and efficient work environment, and optimizing operations for enhanced efficiency and cost control.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Lead resource management to meet production, safety, and quality goals.
    • Mentor and develop shift supervisors and department leads.
    • Identify skill gaps and recommend/provide training to ensure employee proficiency aligns with procedures, policies, and plant objectives.
    • Supervise all production activities to ensure adherence to performance and safety standards.
    • Champion plant safety programs and actively contribute to safety performance.
    • Address daily operational and personnel issues including quality, equipment downtime, labor shortages, and material availability.
    • Foster open communication across departments and shifts through regular updates.
    • Support the hiring, discipline, and termination processes.
    • Resolve employee morale concerns.
    • Consistently administer company policies and escalate issues as necessary.
    • Design robust and sustainable processes for material flow, resource allocation, and value creation to achieve objectives.
    • Implement new processes plant-wide, provide training to supervisors and leaders, and develop training materials.
    • Evaluate process performance at micro and macro levels using measured data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field required; relevant experience preferred.
    • 7-10 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and effectively.
    • Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
    • Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and testing.
    • Stay abreast of industry literature to apply current best practices to production challenges.
    • Comprehend quantitative enterprise goals for quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
