Youth Development Professionals plan and implement activities within a specific program area such as Technology Education to facilitate youth development outcomes.
They promote participation and attendance of youth enrolled in activities while establishing rapport with them providing mentoring guidance role modeling for leadership development skills physical activity engagement academic progress monitoring evaluating programs services ensuring safety quality appearance of the club at all times engaging members in activities providing a safe environment supporting emotional social development encouraging understanding of others positive self-concepts planning facilitating purposeful engaging activities group projects submitting lesson plans attendance sheets administrative duties participating in training staff development attending staff meetings maintaining close contact with club staff members supervisor receiving advising counseling cleaning setup closing down program area daily basis.
