We are looking for applicants that are interested in taking a full gap year before applying to medical school. We need an individual who is willing to work between 35-40 hours a week with a set schedule.

Responsibilities:

• 4-5 days per week, often with a 7:30 am start time
• Prepare treatment rooms and medical instruments
• Room patients and document basic medical history in EMR
• Assist with medical procedures and x-rays
• Assist with the diabetic therapeutic shoe program
• Produce correspondences: consent forms, memos, letters, faxes
• Obtain authorizations for medication

Qualifications:

• Relevant coursework in the medical field/ medical experience
• Knowledge of medical office procedures preferred
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and multi-tasking skills
• Strong desire to interact with patients and commitment to compassionate patient care
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter and team player
• Firm command of both written and verbal communication
