    Responsibilities

    Job Purpose


    The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Sr Advisor is responsible to administer, interpret, and implement the Weatherford Health Safety and Environmental Management System, Operations Excellence Performance System (OEPS), ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to maintain an effective program consistent with the Organization, Geozone, and Area HSE objectives.

    Is instrumental in developing and implementing the area HSE objectives, which are to be consistent with the organization, Geozone, and area.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE


    • Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Company's Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices and complies with the Company's Rules to Live By
    • Places Quality, Health & Safety, Security and protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers or the communities in which we live and work at risk
    • Seeks continual improvement in Health, Safety, Security & protection of the Environment, taking into account responsible care, process vulnerabilities, public, customer and employee inputs, knowledge and technology and best business practices to exceed customer expectations

    QUALITY

    • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and taking an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System
    • Maintains service quality as an immediate priority when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement

    OPERATIONS

    • Maintain safety and service quality as first priorities when working across all areas of the business
    • Where required in the case of non-conformance, exercises 'Stop Work Authority' to suspend operations
    • Ensure that an HSE orientation and induction is provided to all new and existing employees
    • Ensure effective coordination of scheduling, implementation, and assistance in the facilitation of regulatory HSE
    Compliance Training


    • Ensure that HSE inspections and audits are performed in the assigned area and on work site locations
    • Assist local management in the preparation and presentation of HSE meetings, training, and awareness programs
    • Coordinate the investigation of all incidents and near misses and ensure they are entered into Weatherford Performance Tracking System (WPTS) correctly
    • Engages with key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate expertise is involved in the investigation of all incidents
    • Assist in developing HSE policies and procedures, as well as recommend revisions of documents, as necessary
    • Know, understand and comply with Weatherford OEPS and comply with all requirements of the Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
    • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by their Manager within the physical constraints of the job
    • Review Client bids/tenders and provide appropriate input pertaining to HSE requirements
    • Meets with regulatory agencies that govern our operations when required
    • Meets and collaborates with local customers as required

    COMMUNICATION

    • Disseminate HSE information to all levels of the organization
    • Familiarize managers, and supervisors with all customers, regulatory and other requirements that affect their course of business
    • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

    FINANCIAL

    • All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
    • Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure
    PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT


    • Coach and mentor frontline staff in the correct implementation and use of Weatherford's Risk Management Tools
    • Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience
    • Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential

    Qualifications

    Experience & Education


    REQUIRED

    • Minimum 4+ years experience in implementing and/or maintaining an HSE management system
    • HSE-related certification from an accredited organization

    PREFERRED

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 6 years of HSE-related experience including Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) and oil & gas operational experience
    • Root Cause Analysis Investigation Training (5WHY/FISHBONE)
    • International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Certified lead auditor (9001, 14001,
    • Previous management and/or supervision experience
