- Conduct proactive interior and exterior patrols to prevent, deter, and identify potential criminal activity.
- Respond to public safety calls and manage emergency situations.
- Perform patient monitoring, parking lot audits, and post assignments per guidelines.
- Provide coverage at the Switchboard, Communication, and Dispatch Center.
- Act as a liaison between the hospital and local emergency services.
- Utilize CCTV systems to spot and address safety concerns.
- Manage crisis situations using verbal de-escalation techniques.
- Support a quality-driven safety program based on community and customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, equipment, and vehicle.
- Offer exceptional service to patients, visitors, and staff following the hospital's core values.
- Work a minimum of 3 shifts per month, including weekends and overnights.
- Deep understanding of the hospital environment.
- Preferably previous law enforcement or military experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in using telephone, computer, and dispatch software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must obtain and maintain MA LTC within 6 months.
- Must hold a MA Driver's License.
- Complete IAHSS Basic Security Office training within 60 days.
- Acquire and maintain MOAB Certification within 3 months.
