    Dignity Health Medical Foundation, established in 1993, is a California nonprofit organization with care centers across California, affiliated with Dignity Health - a major health system with hospitals in California, Arizona, and Nevada. The foundation works closely with physicians and providers to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to various communities. As the foundation grows and opens new care centers, it invests in advanced technologies, top-notch physicians, and modern medical facilities. The goal is to create work environments where staff can deliver excellent care, grow professionally through challenging assignments, and foster strong relationships. The well-trained and highly skilled staff play a crucial role in maintaining exceptional care and service quality. Mercy Imaging Centers, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, offers cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at multiple locations in the Sacramento and Woodland areas. The team of 160 staff members collaborates with specialty trained radiologists to provide high-quality care to patients, aiming for top-notch imaging, compassionate care, and prompt service.

    Responsibilities


    The MRI Technologist is responsible for understanding their professional scope of practice according to California regulations and completing the foundation's orientation successfully. They maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment, provide patient care services, assist in preparing patients for MRI exams, relay instructions, document patient data, and perform diagnostic imaging under supervision. The role may require working in other modalities based on licensure and occasional travel to different locations within the Greater Sacramento Area.

    Qualifications


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent program.
    • RTR or RTMR certification; BLS-CPR certification.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiology equipment operation, and radiation safety.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Preferred: One year of MRI experience; six months of outpatient experience.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic practice management systems, and PACS preferred.
