    Description

    Job Summary:

    This is a leadership development position for college graduates. The Operations Leadership Trainee will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of focused developmental activities, assignments, and rotations over 24 months to prepare for a professional role at HOLT. During this period, the incumbent will develop an understanding and skills to lead and influence within the Values-Based Leadership (VBL) culture using Holt's leadership language, tools, models, and processes. This includes demonstrating versatility in learning, modeling, teaching, and measuring the impact of their interactions over time. The Leadership Associate will build interdependent and highly functional relationships with individuals and teams throughout the operations division that will enable success in a longer-term position identified upon completion of the 24-month rotation. In the event the Leadership Trainee fails to perform, or no position is available after completion of the program, he or she will be separated from the company.

    Essential Functions:

  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Rotates through multiple departments and assignments; successfully identifies area(s) of highest and best use
  • Develops strong, positive relationships at all levels across the enterprise
  • Demonstrates personal adaptability and understanding of VBL culture, including the use of language, tools, models, and processes
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards including time and attendance expectations
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong self-management skills: Exhibits high self-awareness and adaptability for required feedback gathering, behavioral adaptability, ongoing self-management, and continual growth and development in a VBL culture
  • Demonstrated influencing capability: High level of adaptability required to effectively perform in diverse and changing conditions
  • Problem-solving expertise: Problem identification and resolution including alternative strategies and management of resources, constraints, and contingencies
  • Planning expertise: Ability to understand and integrate the enterprise's strategic business plan into departmental operational planning and processes
  • Technical expertise: Professional knowledge, skills, and experience in relevant industries and positional roles
  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other relevant focus is required
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

    One-year rotation with supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Travel:

  • Limited travel is required to visit stores throughout the territory, primarily on day trips
