Role Description

We have openings for both FTE and locum tenums Nurse Midwife at Charleston Birth Place located in Mount Pleasant, SC. The Nurse Midwife will be responsible for providing full-scope midwifery in our beautiful 4 room birth center. The Nurse Midwife will work closely with the physicians and midwives at our transfer hospital, the Medical University of South Carolina to ensure the highest level of care for patients.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in family planning, maternity, midwifery, and nursing
• Ability to provide comprehensive midwifery care to patients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Compassionate and patient-focused
• Current licensure as a Nurse Midwife in the state of South Carolina
• Previous experience in a birth center or similar setting is a plus
• Master's degree in Nursing
