Children s Hospital of New Jersey (CHoNJ) at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is the state's premier hospital caring for children, offering more than 30 specialized children s services, as well as preventive programs that promote wellness in the community. The hospital's inpatient and outpatient pediatric services include a state-designated regional perinatal center, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric emergency department, Valerie Fund Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, neonatal ICU with New Jersey's first ECMO unit, HIV/AIDS treatment for children, and a sexual and child abuse program.
Children s Hospital of New Jersey has multiple ACGME accredited residency programs and a strong academic affiliation with Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School (NJMS), serving as a primary site for undergraduate pediatric medical education.
In partnership with Rutgers NJMS, CHoNJ with the support of the State of New Jersey has embarked on a population health approach to improving outcomes and achieving health equity for the children of Newark. Innovative programs are being devised and implemented for the major conditions that disproportionally affect the children in our communities.

Description
At Children s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, we are driven to provide evidence-based care to the communities we serve. We are transforming our care delivery system with a design focused on eliminating health disparities and improving outcomes for patients in our community and beyond.
We are seeking a board-certified/board eligible, fellowship-trained physician to join our growing Endocrine Disease Division. This position involves the best of both clinical and academic pediatric endocrinology, with diverse patients in multiple settings and comes with an academic appointment at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). We are partnered with NJMS to broaden the reach of our patient care and expand our ability to perform clinical research using the full scope of resources available in the school s research support departments such as population health and statistics.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic group of 5 pediatric endocrinologists covering the RWJBH Northern Region and will share call and be a member of the group clinically and academically.
As a member of RWJBarnabas Health, the largest academic integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, the faculty member will be involved in further developing the pediatric endocrine medicine curriculum and serving as a teacher and mentor to pediatric residents and medical students.
