    Cleared Software Integration Engineer

    Bestgate Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Software Integration Engineer to support a High-Performance Computing Contract. The ideal candidate will develop software Tools and Services in a Linux environment supporting a cloud offering with open-source software using Kubernetes, Docker, Rook and other cutting-edge software. We are looking for a candidate who has experience working in a containerized landlord/tenant environment. The engineer will support the development of Tools and Services that increase the efficiency of software to production within a DevOps culture.

    Required:

    • Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python in a Linux environment.
    • General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
    • Experience with automation tools such as SaltStack, Puppet, and Ansible.
    • In-depth experience with trouble-shooting large Linux Clusters.
    • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
    • Demonstrated experience administrating/monitoring Kubernetes clusters.
    • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence) Experience using Git for version control.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in engineering will be considered.
    • Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
    Desired Experience
    • Familiarity using Helm to deploy Kubernetes applications
    • Experience using GitLab CI/CD pipelines
    • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications
