    St. Dalfour Foods sells the world's most widely distributed jam/fruit spread brand, St. Dalfour Fruit Spread, in over 100 countries. The company maintains a professional office environment and is looking for a new team member seeking to grow with our fast-paced business.

    The successful candidate for this role will demonstrate a passion and proficiency in the hard and soft skills required of an experienced Human Resources Manager while also delivering on the daily tasks required of a Generalist. This role requires a self-starter that can successfully operate with minimal direction in a manufacturing environment. A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills that can clearly and concisely communicate the department's priorities and goals to all levels of the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead in talent acquisition and recruitment processes without 3rd party assistance.
    • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives.
    • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
    • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
    • Lead the development and implementation of human resource policies.
    • Undertake tasks around performance management.
    • Administer compensation and benefit plans.
    • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire, employee turnover rates and workforce trends.
    • Organize annual employee performance reviews.
    • Maintain accurate employee files, data, and records in electronic and paper form.
    • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities.
    • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
    • Oversee payroll and benefits administration, including handling COBRA, FMLA, and ADA accommodations.
    • Resident subject matter expert on people-related matters; ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and assist with audits.
    • Benchmark, design, and deliver a competitive compensation strategy.
    • Maintain organizational charts to support continuity planning efforts.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or relevant experience
    • 3-5 years' experience in Human Resources management
    • Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
    • Benefits, Compensation, Compliance and Payroll expertise
    • Previous experience in Labor Relations and Contract management in a Union environment
    • Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
    • Strong project management, organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
    • Attention to detail and good judgement
    • Proficient computer skills to include the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Previous experience with compensation banding is a plus

    Salary, Benefits and Office Information:

    • Salary commensurate with experience
    • Medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, short-term & long-term insurance available after 60 days
    • 401K available on enrollment date after 60 days
    • Paid time off policy applicable after 90 days
    • CPG/Alcohol/Spirits and/or Food industry experience preferred but not required.
