    Job DescriptionThis vital role is responsible for the marketing and sales of all co-products through market knowledge and a thorough understanding of how the market impacts company products

    PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Initiate and maintain relationships with customers through phone calls and in-person visits, and will also assist in coordinating logistics of rail, truck and barge shipments of products to customers.

    Market and sell all co-products for all company facilitiesManage accounts and effectively enhance co-product revenueThis role serves as a back up to the Director of Co-Product Sales and maintain relationships with customers via phone calls and customer visitsMust possess strong negotiation skills, be self-motivated, and be able to travel to existing and potential customersMust be able work independently and research new market opportunitiesMust know the markets and understand how they impact the Co-products that the company markets in coordinating logistics of rail, truck, and barge shipmentsAssist in the execution of hedging Co-ProductsThis position supervises the Co-Product Sales Merchandiser.

    Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related degree, i

    e Supply LogisticsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
    5 or more years of grain/coproduct sales OR trading experience in the Ag Industry requiredStrong computer skills, specifically able utilize all functions of ExcelUnderstanding of futures and options and related exchange traded instrumentsUnderstanding of OTC and other financial instruments for hedgingExcellent negotiation, written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent decision making, people management, and negotiation skillsAbility to think and act independently within policy and guidelinesAbility and attitude to provide assistance to the team as whole when gaps are identified, or personnel needs present opportunitiesTeam builder and change agentAbility to engage, communicate & influence all stakeholders (internal & external) and establish trust and credibility with business unit leaders & other functional stakeholdersHonest with high degree of personal integrity and strong ethical business valuesExperience with wet milling or ethanol industry is desirable, but not necessaryExperience in trading commodities, hedging, futures and options beneficialThis position may travel up to 25% of the time
